You are paying a non-refundable £150 deposit for this class. The balance of fees (£200) are payable two weeks before class starts.

10 WEEKS = 25 Hours
WHAT
A 10 week term with the freedom to work on the wheel and/or hand build using moulds and tile cutters, or working with slabs and coils. You will work on your own projects and designs with the help and support of a dedicated and experienced tutor. You can complete work during the term with slips and glazes, and take fired work home at the end of the term.

An evening class for anyone that has had some experience of working with clay, either a small or large amount, that wants to progress their skills in a non-competitive professional arts environment, taught by potters who are also experienced teachers. You will have the chance to handbuild or throw on the wheel according to your interests. A tutored class where you have the freedom to explore and realise your own projects and ideas, supported and assisted in your making.

Fees, including deposits are non refundable. However if you miss a class during a term you have the opportunity to try and make it up during another class that term. However, missed classes can’t roll onto subsequent terms.

EQIPMENT & MATERIALS
We have 7 wheels, two electric kilns and a raku kiln, as well as space for handbuilding with relevant equipment including moulds, extruder and essential small tools for both handbuilding and throwing.
Our weekly classes use a white stoneware clay body with access to a wide range of slips & coloured glazes.

SET UP/APPROACH
We have been running pottery courses for over 40 years and celebrate mastery of the craft. We welcome amateurs, professionals, all genders, ages, ethnicity, physical ability and social background and we actively encourage the mix. The Pottery Hub is a place to connect with other potters, to share learning, knowledge and practical skills in a non-competitive professional arts environment.
We run weekly classes, immersive short courses (with professional pot an apprenticeship programme and offer memberships to those wanting to work in their own time without a tutor.
